Current Service Impacts
THURSDAY EVENING FARMERS MARKET, 4TH STREET, SAN RAFAEL, APRIL THRU SEPTEMBER 2008
Effective Thursday, April 3, and continuing every Thursday through September, Golden Gate Transit service on Routes 22, 23, 26 and 27 along 4th Street in downtown San Rafael will be impacted due to the Thursday evening farmers market. Specifically, on Thursdays between 4 pm and 10 pm, the bus stop at 4th & Court Streets will NOT be served. Bus passengers should use nearby stops located at 4th & C Streets or the Transit Center at 3rd & Hetherton Streets.
TEMPORARY ROUTE 76 DETOUR, PETALUMA, BEGINNING MARCH 12, 2008
Beginning Thursday, March 12, Golden Gate Transit Route 76 service will be detoured due to construction at So. McDowell & Baywood. The following northbound and southbound stops will NOT be served: Lombardi & So. McDowell and Baywood & So. McDowell.
US 101/LINCOLN AVE UNDERPASS CLOSURE, SAN RAFAEL, BEGINNING NOVEMBER 26, 2007
Beginning Monday, November 26 and continuing for about 6 months, the underpass leading to northbound US 101 from the top of Lincoln Ave in San Rafael will be closed due to construction. During this time, Golden Gate Transit will operate on a detour and will NOT serve certain bus stops. Specifically, Golden Gate Transit southbound Route 49 trips will NOT serve bus stops at Villa & Hacienda /Glen Park and Villa & Myrtle, but will serve temporary stops at Lincoln & Wilson and Lincoln & Grand. Also, Golden Gate Transit late night northbound Routes 70 and 80 trips that serve Lincoln Ave will NOT serve the Hwy 101 northbound bus pad at North San Pedro Rd, but will temporarily serve the bus stop at North San Pedro & Merrydale. This detour is expected to continue through May 23, 2008, or until further notice. Thank you for your patience during this time.
FREMONT ST & MISSION ST BUS STOPS, SAN FRANCISCO, EFFECTIVE JUNE 26, 2007
Beginning Tuesday, June 26, the NORTHBOUND bus stops located on Fremont St nearside Mission St will be CLOSED until further notice due to construction. During this closure, Golden Gate Transit Route 54, 56, 58, 60, 72, 74 and 76 passengers should board at existing GGT bus stops on Fremont St between Mission and Market Sts.
SANSOME ST & CLAY ST BUS STOPS, SAN FRANCISCO, EFFECTIVE MARCH 28, 2007
Effective March 28 and continuing for approximately 9 months, the following Golden Gate Transit bus stops will be moved due to construction:
The bus stop at Sansome & Clay Sts served by GGT Route 18 will be moved north to Sansome St between Clay and Merchant Sts, nearside the Fire Department and north of the bus stop for Routes 26, 27 and 44.
The bus stop at Sansome & Clay Sts served by GGT Route 24 will be moved 50 feet south on Sansome to the GGT bus stop for Routes 38 and 60.
