Transfer/Fare Credit Options With Other Transit Systems

Muni (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority) Clipper customers transferring from Golden Gate Transit/Ferry to Muni receive a $0.50 adult fare credit. Transfer must be made within two hours of first tagging card on GGT or GGF. No transfer credit given to youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities, or Muni Monthly Pass or cash-paying customers.

Clipper customers transferring from Muni to GGT or GGF receive a $0.50 Clipper transfer credit for adult fares. Youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities receive a $0.25 transfer credit provide they pay with Clipper. Transfer must be made within two hours of first tagging card on Muni. No transfer credit given for cash-paying customers.

AC Transit accepts GGT transfers from Routes 40/42 as full payment of local fare for continuing local travel on the first AC Transit bus boarded in the East Bay. For Clipper customers, GGT accepts AC Transit interagency vouchers for $2.00 adult fare credit ($1.00 senior/disabled/youth) on Routes 40/42. For cash-paying customers, GGT accepts AC Transit interagency vouchers for $2.10 adult fare credit ($1.05 youth/senior/disabled) on Routes 40/42. Fare credits are automatically issued to Clipper card users.

Marin Transit and West Marin Stagecoach accept GGT transfers for free continuing travel within Marin County. GGT accepts transfers from Marin Transit and Stage for $2.00 adult local fare credit ($1.00 youth/senior/disabled). To travel outside Marin County, pay the full regional fare on Marin Transit or Stage and receive a GGT transfer.

Petaluma Transit accepts GGT transfers for a full local fare. GGT accepts Petaluma Transit transfers for a $1.50 adult fare credit ($0.75 youth/senior/disabled). Clipper card users boarding GGT first should request a paper transfer for use on Petaluma Transit; Petaluma Transit is not Clipper enabled.

Santa Rosa CityBus accepts GGT transfers for a full local fare. GGT accepts Santa Rosa CityBus transfers for a $1.50 adult fare credit ($0.75 youth/senior/disabled) for continuing travel to all points. Clipper card users boarding GGT first should request a paper transfer for use on CityBus; CityBus is not Clipper enabled.

SolTrans accepts GGT transfers from Routes 40/42 for $1.75 fare credit for adults ($1.50 youth, $0.85 senior/disabled). For Clipper customers, GGT accepts SolTrans transfers for $2.00 adult fare credit ($1.00 youth/senior/disabled) on Routes 40/42. For cash-paying customers, GGT accepts SolTrans transfers for $2.10 adult fare credit ($1.05 youth/senior/disabled) on Routes 40/42. Fare credits are automatically issued to Clipper card users.

Sonoma County Transit accepts GGT transfers for a $1.50 adult fare credit ($1.25 youth, $0.75 senior/disabled). GGT accepts Sonoma County Transit transfers for a $1.50 adult fare credit ($0.75 youth/senior/disabled). Clipper card users boarding GGT first should request a paper transfer for use on SCT; SCT is not Clipper enabled.

WestCAT accepts GGT transfers from Routes 40/42 for a $1.00 adult/youth fare credit ($0.50 senior/disabled) at El Cerrito del Norte BART Station. GGT accepts WestCAT transfers for a $2.10 adult fare credit ($1.05 youth/senior/disabled) for travel on Routes 40/42. Clipper card users boarding GGT first should request a paper transfer for use on WestCAT; WestCAT is not Clipper enabled.
