Golden Gate Transit Bus and Golden Gate Ferry Regional Fares Increase

As part of a five-year transit fare program, Golden Gate Transit Bus and Golden Gate Ferry regional fares will increase by 5% on July 1, 2012. Discount fare programs remain in effect for frequent riders, seniors (65+) , youth (6 to 18), and persons with disabilities. Effective July 1, 2012, regional paratransit fare for travel to or from the East Bay and Marin County over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge is $7.50. Travel to or from San Francisco and Sonoma County is $14.00. A 50-cent surcharge will continue to be added to the above fares for MARIN EXTENDED INTER-COUNTY PARATRANSIT SERVICE that begins or ends beyond three-quarters of a mile of a GGT non-commute bus route or outside of the comparable non-commute bus service hours.
