Effective July 1, 2011
Golden Gate Transit Bus and Golden Gate Ferry Fares Increase

As part of a five-year transit fare program adopted by the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District Board of Directors in April 2011, Golden Gate Transit Bus and Golden Gate Ferry fares will increase on July 1, 2011.

On our Bus system, discount programs for regular riders, seniors, youth, and persons with disabilities remain in effect based on the new cash fares. On our Ferry system, discount programs for seniors, youth, and persons with disabilities remain in effect based on the new fares, but Clipper fares do not change (these fares were increased on January 1, 2011).

Effective July 1, 2011, regional paratransit fare for travel to or from the East Bay and Marin County over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge is $7.25. Travel to or from San Francisco and Sonoma County is $13.25. A 50-cent surcharge will continue to be added to the above fares for MARIN EXTENDED INTER-COUNTY PARATRANSIT SERVICE that begins or ends beyond three-quarters of a mile of a GGT non-commute bus route or outside of the comparable non-commute bus service hours.
